The invention relates to a device for tensioning and automatically taking up the slack in an operating cable intended to connect an actuator member (A) to two braking members (T) which are to be actuated remotely. This device comprises a first coupling piece (310) to be fastened to a length of primary cable (P) to be connected to the actuator member (A), a second coupling piece (320) mounted so that it can rotate on an articulation journal (340) borne by the first one and to be fastened to a first length of secondary cable (S) to be connected to one of the braking members, and a third coupling piece (320) mounted so that it can rotate on the said articulation journal (340) and to be fastened to a second length of secondary cable to be connected to the other braking member. Elastic return means, deforming from an initial state to a final state, urge the second and third coupling pieces to rotate in contrary directions in order to tension the lengths of primary and secondary cable. Locking means can oppose the relative rotation in opposite directions of the second and third coupling pieces. <IMAGE> |
