PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC SINGLE CRYSTAL CORE FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a production method of an org. single crystal core fiber to be used for a fiber-type optical wavelength converting element with which the conversion efficiency of second harmonic wave can be improved and a large output of second harmonic wave can be obtd. CONSTITUTION:This org. single crystal core fiber is obtd. by filling the inside of a glass capillary with an org. nonlinear optical material such as 3,5-dimethyl-1 (4-nitrophenyl)pyrazole. This method includes such a step that the inside of the glass capillary is filled with the org. nonlinear optical material while controlling the viscosity of the org. nonlinear optical material to <=10 poise by heating the material at temp. higher than the melting point and lower than the decomposition temp. of the org. nonlinear optical material.
