DISPLAY DEVICE FOR RESERVED PROGRAM

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a multi-purpose display device by which a start of a reserved program is surely informed to the user and in which its display means utilizes a picture-in-picture function. CONSTITUTION:The display device is provided with a major/sub screen display device 104 receiving a standard video signal obtained from a 1st tuner 101, a decoder 103 having a descrambling function descrambling a scramble video signal obtained from a 2nd tuner 102 and applying a descrambled video signal to the major/sub screen display device 104, and display control sections 105,200 setting a channel selected by the 1st tuner to a channel for a reserved program and controlling the major/sub screen display device 104 whose picture-in-picture function is set so as to allow the major/sub screen display device 104 to provide both outputs of a usual video signal and the descrambled video signal simultaneously.
