PURPOSE:To charge and discharge a capacitor based on the change of a picture signal when the data on the shading correction, etc., are processed. CONSTITUTION:This image reading device is provided with a contact sensor 200 which reads the images in a photoelectric way and a capacitor 52 (included in a shading correcting circuit 14) which is charged and discharged in response to the output signal change of the sensor 200 and has the output approximate to an output signal. Then the capacitor 52 is charged as prescribed by the output control of a timer 100 and for a prescribed period before or after the start of output of the image signal of the sensor 200. |
