<p>Methods of purifying porcine somatotropin (pST), used to remove destabilizing components, particularly lanthionine pST, are disclosed. A preferred embodiment comprises a two-step isocratic ion exchange process. Also disclosed are porcine somatotropin preparations which are substantially free of lanthionine pST and other destabilizing components, and thus have enhanced solubility and stability.</p> |
