The invention relates to an abutment for the screw of a screw-connection, in particular for fastening body parts on the chassis frame of a commercial vehicle, in the case of which the abutment can be fastened on a counter-surface, running approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction of the screw, in clearances provided there. Said abutment is intended to be capable of being produced in an economically more favourable manner and of being mounted in a simpler manner. For this purpose, the abutment is of a hook-shaped design and is provided with a first free leg which runs approximately perpendicularly with respect to the fastening counter-surface, forms the screw-bearing surface, can be introduced into a clearance of the fastening counter-surface and exhibits a clearance for the insertion of the connecting screw, with a central web which is bent off at an acute angle with respect to said first leg and likewise has a clearance for the through-passage of the connecting screw, and with a second free leg which adjoins said central web, runs parallel to the fastening counter-surface, likewise exhibits a clearance and is intended for surface abutment against the fastening counter-surface and for being fastened there. When the connecting screw is tightened, the two free legs of the abutment are suppported in a frictionally locking manner, in the longitudinal direction of said connecting screw, in the clearances of the fastening counter-surface.
