The present invention relates to a hair care composition, in particular in the form of an aerosol foam, with improved conditioning and foaming properties, containing a combination of about 0.1 to about 5% by weight of at least one quaternary ammonium compound with one or two C8-C20-alkyl radicals; about 0.05 to about 5% by weight of at least one cationic polymer; and about 0.01 to about 5% by weight of at least one water-soluble chitosan or chitosan derivative, in particular an N-substituted chitosan, and, where appropriate, about 0.5 to about 5% by weight of ethoxydiglycol, in each case calculated on the basis of the complete composition.
