PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption of a battery more with respect to the battery saving circuit for mobile equipment for portable telephone system. CONSTITUTION:A power supply circuit 15 stops application of a power supply voltage upon the receipt of a signal commanding power-off. A timer section 14 operated normally gives a signal commanding power-off for a set stop time after the start to the power supply circuit 15. A service zone discrimination section 17 and a high speed movement discrimination section 18 start monitoring a control signal when the power supply circuit 15 is in an ON state, and discriminate that the mobile equipment is resident at the outside of the service zone when no control signal is acquired, discriminate that the mobile equipment is resident in the service zone when the control signal is acquired and the equipment is moved to the outside of the service zone having been resident precedingly, and discriminate that the mobile equipment is moving at a high speed when number of times of reception of a designated part of the control signal is less than a reference value. A timer control section 19 sets a timer considerably longer than a period of the control signal to a timer when the equipment is resident at the outside of the serviceable zone or moving at a high speed and then starts the timer section 14. |
