Resin products, airbag covering and process for moulding the same

An airbag covering 11 for an airbag device 2 is proposed, which comprises a panel-shaped cover 12, by which an opening 1a in a dashboard 1 is closed, legs 13, which are an integral part of the panel-shaped cover 12, protrude from the cover 12 and are connected to the airbag device 2, and a groove-shaped thin region 12a, which is moulded in the cover 12 and is broken open when an airbag of the airbag device 2 is inflated. When the moulding is carried out in the case of the airbag covering 11, a blowing agent is mixed with resin materials. The side regions on the right and left alongside the thin region 12a, or flash regions, of the legs 13 are designed such that they have a foamable thickness in which the blowing agent can expand. Even in a resin product having such a thin region or legs, the occurrence of sink marks, which may appear on the surfaces of the resin product, can be effectively prevented by the expansion effected by the blowing agent.
