<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-quality fuel oil efficiently by thermally decomposing a waste plastic mixture contg. a vinyl chloride resin under a reduced pressure, washing the resulting heavy decomposition gas with an aq. alkali soln., and thermally decomposing the residue under pressure. CONSTITUTION:A crushed waste plastic mixture is charged into a reduced- pressure decomposition vessel 11 and is thermally decomposed under a reduced pressure, generating a heavy decomposition gas. The gas is conveyed with a blower 13 to an alkali washing vessel 15 and is washed with a shower of an aq. alkali soln. to remove hydrogen halides (e.g. hydrogen chloride) in the gas as harmless halide salts, and simultaneously most part of the rest is liquefied. Thus obtd. liq. is conveyed with a pump 21 to a pressurized decomposition vessel 23 and thermally decomposed under pressure, producing a light decomposition gas. This gas is introduced through a turbine blade 2 into a condenser 27 to be condensed, and is recovered as a light oil.</p> |
