PURPOSE:To provide a studless tire that has made improvements in traveling on an icy and snowy road surface, especially in cornering performance. CONSTITUTION:This tire consists of three blocks 6, 7 and 8 to be form by vertical grooves 2, 3, 4 and a horizontal groove 5, and it is provided with a tread pattern with at least one block line extending in the tire circumferential direction, and in circumferential block lines of these blocks 6 and 7, at least one piece of two sub blocks 12 and 13, making the circumferential direction a major side and the turning axial direction a minor side, is installed at the outside in the tire tuning axial direction of the block withing one pictch via two sub grooves 6a and 7a shallower than these vertical grooves 2, 3 and 4. In addition, sub blocks 12 and 12 or 13 and 13 being situated in an equidistance at both sides of a grounding center line OL are installed as shifted one by one with each other, and thereby the ratio of a land area L to a sea area S should be set to L/S=(0.5 to 0.65)/(0.5 to 0.35). |
