The angle (corner) valve, which is provided, in particular, for vacuum systems, has a valve housing (1) in which a closure element (4) displaceable counter to the force of a spring (20) can be pressed with a seal (6) onto a valve seat (7) on the housing. Fixed on the closure element (4) is a ferromagnetic armature (11) which is accommodated by the coil space (13) of an electromagnet (14) and can be displaced in the latter. To the inside of the seal (6) interacting with the valve seat (7), the closure element (4) has the mouth of a bore (22) which is connected to the coil space (13) (accommodating the armature (11)) of the electromagnet (14). With its section adjacent to the armature (11), the closure element (4) is accommodated by a bush-like well (17) which extends the coil space (13) into the valve housing (1). With the closure body (4) resting on the valve seat (7), this section rests in sealing fashion against the inner wall (18) of the bush-like well (17). A seal (10) is arranged between that section of the closure element (4) which is accommodated by the well (17) and the inner wall (18) of the well (17). <IMAGE>
