The device comprises a CCD camera (11) which receives the measured image on screen to measure amount of heat drift of a color CRT, a lens of high power (12) which is equiped in front of the CCD camera to decrease measurement error, a magnetic field generator (13) which has several horizontal or vertical coils to force electronic beam (B) to move, a frame grabber (14) which converts image data inputted to the CCD camera into digital data to store in a memory, a frame processor (15) which increases processing speed of data, an error detection indicator (16), a micro processor (17) which analyzes the image data, a current controller (18) which controls current flow of the magnetic field generator (13), and a data output section (19) which displays or outputs result data.
