The centre area of the connection (31) is made of material which softens plastically above room heat from notably between 30 and 50 deg C or again above 70 deg C. The centre area has a T-shaped opening to apply to the nose region of the patient, with the edge (33) of the opening composed of heat-mouldable material. The mouldable part comes in net, lattice or gauze finish in the main body shell area next to the connector, and there is a trough in the centre of the connector to run parallel to the main shell edge axis so as to fit onto the patient's nose. An adjusting ring of limited elasticity to be joined to the main body or the shell edge is made of heat-mouldable material similar to the connector itself (31). The mask and nose are joined by web or strip material for preference.
