PURPOSE:To increase the rotation speed of an engine promptly and smoothly after the engine is started by providing a specific level of fuel pressure even at the time of starting the engine. CONSTITUTION:A fuel channel 3 is provided between a fuel injection valve 1 and a fuel tank 2 in an internal combustion engine, while a high pressure fuel pump 5 is provided between a low pressure fuel pump 4 in the fuel channel 3 and the fuel injection valve 1. A bypass channel 11 for connecting the fuel channel part on the upstream side and the fuel channel part on the downstream side of the high pressure fuel pump 5 is provided while a check valve 12 for passing fuel only from the upstream side to the downstream side of the fuel channel 3 is provided on the bypass channel 11. |
