PURPOSE:To provide a control device for a constant current controlled stepping motor so that the control device can cope with high speed driving of the stepping motor. CONSTITUTION:A control device 5 for controlling a constant current controlled stepping motor 1 is provided with a map 11 recorded with on/off fixed times corresponding to a current change pattern of an excitation current and to power supply voltage and a detecting means 10 for detecting the power supply voltage; further, at the time of switching the excitation current, the curresponding on- or-off fixed time is read the current change pattern and the power supply voltage, so as to make a current control signal keep on or off for an on-or-off fixed time. When the excitation current is changed, setting the on-or-off fixed time enables a prompt change in the excitation current. |
