<p>A vertical stream of metal droplets obtd. by atomising a stream of molten metal with gas jets, are made to move in a horizontal direction across an upwards flowing coolant gas stream. Pref. the particles follow a parabolic path. The method accelerates solidification of droplets thereby reducing gaseous impurity pickup.</p> |
