<p>PURPOSE:To produce a toner excellent in granulation stability while preventing sticking to a polymn. vessel by adding a specified metallic compd. of salicylic acid to specified polyalkylene wax and a dye or pigment, melting and kneading them and using the resulting master batch. CONSTITUTION:A metallic compd. of salicylic acid is added to a starting material mixture of polyalkylene wax having 50-100 deg.C m.p. with a dye or pigment by 0.5-10 pts.wt. and they are melted and kneaded to produce a master batch used for producing a toner. A chromium or zinc compd. is used as the metallic compd. of salicylic acid. When the amt. of the added compd. is <0.5 pt.wt., the dispersibility of the dye or pigment and the electrostatic chargeability of a produced toner deteriorate. In the case of >10 pts.wt., the environmental stability of electrostatic charge of the toner deteriorates. Polyalkylene wax having <50 deg.C m.p. deteriorates the blocking resistance of the toner and polyalkylene wax having >100 deg.C m.p. deteriorates low temp. stability. Paraffin or polyolefin wax is used as the polyalkylene wax having 50-100 deg.C m.p.</p> |
