PURPOSE:To eliminate waste of power consumption by providing an indoor fan stopping device which stops an indoor fan in the sleeping mode when the outside temperature detected by an outside temperature detector reaches a set temperature during cooling operation. CONSTITUTION:When cooling operation starts, a compressor 1, an indoor fan relay 1, and an outdoor fan relay 12 are turned on by a microcomputer control circuit 10. The compressor 1 begins to operate and delivers refrigerant gas to an outdoor heat exchanger 2. The refrigerant gas effects heat exchange with the outside air at the outdoor heat exchanger 2 and condenses into liquid. The condensate liquid is decompressed by a pressure reducing device 3 and evaporates at an indoor heat exchanger 4, cooling and dehumidifying the room air that is sent by an indoor fan 6. An outside temperature thermistor 8 detects the outside temperatures during cooling operation, and when the outside temperature detected by the outside temperature thermistor 8 reaches a set point, the microcomputer control circuit 10 stops the indoor fan 6 that is unnecessary to operate in sleeping mode.
