PURPOSE: To generate a single composite image which is displayed in an original image context by connecting or combining plural viewing operation functions which are operated in a model data structure where the images are generated. CONSTITUTION: In a box 220, a request signal is received to display a 2nd viewing operation area 2VOR 40 of a display area 180 which has the same extent of position as a 1st viewing operation area 1VOR 20 of a 1st picture 10. The size and shape of the area 2VOR 40 are decided in a box 232 based on the viewing positions of every viewing operation area. Then, the picture definition data which define a composite 2nd picture C1+2VOR-S1 to display it in an area C1+2VOR 60 are generated by a composite viewing operation in a box 246. Thereafter, a composite picture 50 is generated within the area C1+2VOR 60 in a box 258.
