Sorption device for cooling and/or heating having at least two adsorbent containers 1, 2 which contain a sorbent 11, 21 which desorbs a working medium in vapour phase when the temperature increases and exothermally sorbs when the temperature decreases, and having heating devices 12, 22 by which the sorbent 11, 21 can be heated, and having for each adsorption container 1, 2 an inlet cut-off device 13, 23 and an outlet cut-off device 14, 24 for the working medium vapour flowing in (A) or flowing out (B), both adsorbent containers 1, 2 being connected, each via a suction cut-off device (15, 25), to a suction device 3 in such a way that non-sorbable gases can be sucked out from only one adsorbent container in each case, and that the sorbent 11, 12 is arranged between the inlet cut-off device 13, 23 and the suction cut-off device 15, 25 in such a way that actually all non-sorbable gases, but not working-medium vapour, can be sucked out. <IMAGE>
