The invention relates to a device for actuating a control cable of a parking brake of a vehicle. This device comprises a cable-carrying sector (10) pivotably mounted about a fixed spindle (11) and to be connected to the control cable and an operating lever pivotably mounted about a fixed spindle (21) able to move, when manually driven in rotation, the cable-carrying sector in order to act on the brake. The operating lever (20) and the cable-carrying sector (10) are coupled in rotation via a link with epicycloid gearing (30, 40) designed so as to demultiply the force to be exerted on the operating lever in order to drive the cable-carrying sector in rotation and apply the brake. <IMAGE>
