In order to obviate damage to the elastomeric materials employed in conventional machines for printing by toner-based methods when such machines are used for printing onto pressure-sensitive record material of the kind in which droplets of a solution of colour-formers are confined in a rupturable material, the printing process is carried out on su ch pressure-sensitive record material in which the solvent used for such colour-formers comprises only one or more animal and/or vegetable oils.
