PURPOSE:To provide an agent to suppress the coagulation of platelet caused by arachidonic acid or collagen, by using a specific nucleic acid as an active component. CONSTITUTION:A platelet coagulation inhibiting agent is obtained by using 5'-adenosine monophosphate (5'-AMP) and/or inosine as an active component. It may be added further with inosine monophosphate (IMP). In the case of using two or more kinds of nucleic acids, the ratio of inosine:5'-AMP is 100:(10-30) and that of inosine:IMP is 1:1. The agent may be further incorporated with other nucleic acid (e.g. 5'-CMP, 5'-GMP, adenosine, 3'-AMP, etc.) or taurine, etc. A hot-water extract of shellfish meat, especially oyster meat contains the above nucleic acids at preferable ratios, and exhibits especially excellent platelet coagulation inhibiting effect. The agent is effective for the remedy and prevention of thrombosis of warm-blooded animal including human. It is administered at a dose of 1-500mg/kg daily in the case of oral administration. |
