PURPOSE:To decrease the amount of regeneration waste liquid to be generated by passing regenerant liquid having specified alkali concn. through an ion exchange tower and thereafter passing the regenerant liquid having specified alkali concn. at one time or more and regenerating strong basic anion exchange resin in a counter current method. CONSTITUTION:Water to be treated is passed through an ion exchange tower packed with strong basic anion exchange resin in downward current and treated water is obtained. On the other hand, in case of regenerate the strong basic anion exchange resin by passing regenerant liquid in upward current, regenerant liquid having <=2wt% alkali concn. is passed. Then regenerant liquid having 2-6wt% alkali concn. is passed at least one time or more to perform regeneration of a second step and impurities adsorbed on the resin layer are completely separated. By this method, generation of regeneration waste liquid can be extremely decreased without lowering purity and amount of treated water. |
