PURPOSE: To provide a collection vessel assembly useful for collecting a small quantity of blood. CONSTITUTION: This collection vessel assembly 10 contains a vessel 12 having a lip-shaped part 34 integrally formed to facilitate collection of blood and a cap 14 suitable for surrounding the vessel 12. The assembly 10 also has a seal structure to fix the cap 14 to the vessel 12 and cam structures 46 and 74 to take out the cap 14 from the vessel 12. The vessel 12 also has inside surface finishing to promote mixing of a liquid sample contained in the vessel when a mechanical device is used.
