PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid protein-containing material exhibiting a characteristic taste of protein-containing material at its maximum by containing a water-soluble hemicellulose. CONSTITUTION:This protein-containing material comprises an animal or vegetable protein and a water-soluble hemicellulose. The concentration of the protein is preferably <=4.0wt.% during drinking and eating. 0.001-1,000 pts.wt., preferably 0.01-500 pts.wt. of the water-soluble hemicellulose is added to 100 pts.wt. of the protein.
