DOWNHOLE PUMP ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF OIL PRODUCTION

An improved downhole pump assembly with method of oil production using a remotely releasable and sealable downhole pump is disclosed which permits the securing of the plunger portion of the pump relative to the outer housing and the pump's relocation from the pump seating nipples in the tubing to an enlarged portion of the tubing thereby permitting a flowback operation or other treatment to be performed but preventing the flow of any formation fluids into the pump which would otherwise damage its internal mechanism.
