PURPOSE:To lower the temperature of the gas supplied from an inflator by installing a heat robbing part which robs heat from the gas, on a partitioning plate having an open port for the pass of the gas. CONSTITUTION:The side edge part of the slit shaped opened port 24a of a middle retainer 24 as partitioning plate is formed to a throttle part 42 which erects so that the sectional area of a gas passage gradually reduces in the gas flow direction. When an inflator 18 operates to jet out gas, an air bag 14 is developed. When the gas jetted out from the inflator 18 passes through the open port 24a, the gas makes contact with the throttle part 42 at a high speed, and heat exchange is performed efficiently with the throttle part 42, and the temperature of the gas lowers. Further, the gas performs the adiabatic expansion immediately after the passing through the throttle part 42 and the opened port 24a, and the temperature lowers. |
