PURPOSE:To enhance responsiveness of control while maintaining reliability in switching a solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:A damping force control device has means 5 and 6 to detect a travel condition, a means 12 to set target damping force according to the travel condition and a means 13 to output a driving current to a solenoid valve 7 so as to become the target damping force according to the travel condition, and also has a first timer means 14 to count transient current-carrying time of the solenoid valve 7, a second timer means 15 to flow the driving current up to becoming maximum current-carrying time of the solenoid valve 7 and an electric current control means A which prohibits a change in the driving current until the transient current-carrying time elapses and allows a change in the driving current even before the maximum current-carrying time elapses after the transient current-carrying time elapses. |
