<p>PURPOSE: To obtain polyolefin yarn having increased resilience and contractibility, and useful for pile fabric, etc., by fiberizing the specified composition of crystalline isotactic propylene polymers and syndiotactic propylene polymers. CONSTITUTION: Polymer Composition of (A) homopolymers of crystalline isotactic propylene and (B) syndiotactic propylene polymer (content of about 5-50 wt.%) of syndiotactic pentad fraction of 0.7 or more is fiberized. Propylene polymer is (I) homopolymers of propylene and/or (II) random crystalline propylene copolymers (whenα-olefin is absent, ethylene of about 2-10 wt.% is contained) of about 80-98.5 wt.% propylene and about 1.5-20 wt.% ethylene or 4-8Cα-olefin and/or terpolymers (whenα-olefin is present, ethylene of about 0.5-5 wt.% is preferably contained).</p> |
