TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE/FLUOROALKOXYTRIFLUOROETHYLENE COPOLYMER COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To make spherulites fine so as to improve the surface smoothness of the melt extrudate by adding a specific polytetrafluoroethylene to a melt- moldable tetrafluoroethylene/fluoroalkoxytrifluoroethylene copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A polytetrafluoroethylene having a crystallization temperature of 305 deg.C or above and a crystallization heat of 50J/g or more is added to a melt-moldable tetrafluoroethylene/fluroalkoxy-trifluoroethylene copolymer composition. The amount of the polytetrafluoroethylene is preferably 0.01-50wt.%, more preferably 0.01-30wt.%, further preferably 0.01-4wt.%. The polytetrafluoroethylene may also be added in such an amount that the melt- molded product may have an average spherulite diameter of 15mum or smaller after recrystallization.
