<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a method for lining a buried pipe (existing pipe) for reducing the diameter of a lining pipe before it is drawn into the existing pipe by an upsetting die. CONSTITUTION: One lining pipe 7 having an outer diameter larger than the inner diameter of a pipe 10 to be lined and made of a memory holding plastic material is prepared. The lining pipe 7 is pulled through the upsetting dies 3 attached to the interior of the pipe to be lined so as to provide an interval and, after the lining pipe is taken out of the dies, partial tension suppressing the radial expansion of the outer surface of the lining pipe is applied by a tensioning device and the lining pipe is drawn in a buried pipe in such a state that the outer diameter of the lining pipe is reduced to a dimension smaller than the inner diameter dimension of the buried pipe and/or held thereto. Thereafter, the lining pipe expands within the buried pipe by releasing tension and the expansion brought about by memory under usual atmospheric pressure at the circumferential temp. of the buried pipe is generated.</p> |
