PURPOSE:To smoothly bring about good understanding even with an opposite party not on an equal situation in a video telephone system in which both the speakers can communicate with each other while looking at the opposite figure. CONSTITUTION:When the both speakers are on the equal level, a television camera device 2 arranged so that an optical axis 2a may matched with the direction of the line of sight of the speaker is selected, and a video signal outputted from the television camera device 2 is transmitted to the video telephone system of the communicating other party. On the other hand, when the both speakers are not on an equal situation, for example, when they are in the relation of a boss and his subordinate, a television camera 10 is arranged so that the line of sight of the speaker being a subordinate can be directed downward from the top, and the video signal outputted from the television camera device 10 is transmitted to the video telephone system of the communicating other party being his boss. |
