<p>PURPOSE:To provide a photomagnetic field sensor which can accurately alternating magnetic fields without errors due to fluctuations in photoreceiving level. CONSTITUTION:A device of large Verdet's constant or large device length is used as the Faraday device of a photomagnetic field sensor which measures alternating magnetic fields so that the rotation angle theta of a polarization plane may exceed largely 360 deg. with respect to the fluctuation width of measurement magnetic field H. Since this develops pulselike outputs, the number of pulses is counted. Therefore, even when photoreceiving levels are different, no errors occur, and feedback control as in the prior art for error correction and dividers are dispensed with.</p> |
