<p>PURPOSE:To minimize a transmission delay and to improve the communication time efficiency by starting the transmission immediately when a speed of a designated transmission line is equal to or slower than a speed of a reception line and after storing transmission data by a required buffer capacity when faster than the speed of the reception line. CONSTITUTION:When a reception section 22c receives a header of a frame, a header processing section 34 informs a control section 25 of a received logical link number to. The control signal 25 refers to path control and transmission reception attribute tables 31, 32 to connect a line to a correct transmission section 23c by a switching control section and modules 39, 26 based on the number and the speed of transmission reception lines. Furthermore, a comparison control section 35 reports a required buffer capacity calculated based on the speed of the transmission reception lines and information of a frame length of the header to a storage quantity control section 36. A transmission section 23C starts the transmission after a buffer 37 stores received data according to the notice and required frames are stored at the end of reception of the header. Thus, even when the speed of communication lines differs, the transmission delay is minimized while preventing transmission under-run and the communication time efficiency is improved.</p> |
