PURPOSE:To provide a wide aspect television receiver which can provide the enlarged images of right and left parts by using digital signal processing. CONSTITUTION:When a right/left part enlargement mode is selected, a read address control signal (i) to be changed with inclination in proportion to the frequency of an output clock (d) during the central and the nearby term of a picture in a horizontal scanning cycle and to be changed with much smoother inclination during the right and left peripheral part of the term is inputted to a memory circuit 60 by a memory control circuit 50. During the term of the picture central part in the horizontal scanning term, the memory control circuit 50 outputs the output clock (d) as a read clock (g) without changing it and during the respective remaining right and left side peripheral part terms, a pulse thinning the output clock (d) is outputted as the read clock (g). |
