Ventilation system

In the ventilation system intended for the rooms of buildings, there are exchangeably received, in at least two housing reception chambers arranged side by side under at least one window, in each case at least one ventilation unit which is designed as a modular insert. In the case of rooms having a punctuated façade, provision may be made, under at least two windows spaced apart from each other, for in each case one housing having at least one reception chamber for a ventilation unit, or for a housing having at least two side-by-side reception chambers. The ventilation units are modular inserts which are exchangeably installed in the housing reception chambers. The reception chambers are closable on the inside of the room by means of a respective front attachment and furthermore are provided with openings which emerge on the inside of the room and the outside of the room, the openings corresponding to the corresponding incoming-air and outgoing-air openings of the units. Openings in the reception chambers which are not required are concealed by the respective built-in unit. It is also possible to fill reception chambers not required by means of insulating-body inserts of modular construction, thereby closing the openings associated with the reception chambers.
