An air charging device for a gas boiler using a pre-mixing type gas burner. Both the gas burner (4) and the gas nozzle (8) of this device are shielded from the closed room so that no room air is used for combustion of the gas but the atmospheric air is used as both the first combustion air and the secondary combustion air. The device includes an air charging case (3) receiving the gas burner (4) and the gaz nozzle (8) therein. The burner support plate (5) supporting the gas burner (4) thereon is detachably mounted on the base (2) so as to be separated along with the gas burner (4) from the air charging case (3). The air intake (6) is provided on the air charging case (3) and coupled to the air pipe (9) extending to the atmosphere, thus to supply atmospheric air into the air charging case (3). The diffuser (7) is mounted on a diffuser mount (15) of the air charging case (3) and tightly seats therein a bottom of the heat exchanger (10). The diffuser (7) has a perforated air diffusing plate (7a) section which achieves a uniform supply of secondary air from the air charging case (3) to the outside of the perforated upper section of the combustion cylinder (4a) and partially shields the air charging case (3) from the combustion chamber (11). |
