A device for the vertical arrangement of a pole-like or post-like article (4) on a fastening device (6) which can be anchored in the ground is distinguished in that an adjustment device (2) is provided between the fastening device (6) and the object (4). The adjustment device (2) may exhibit, for example, a tubular peg (10) which can be introduced into a blind bore (12), at that end of the object (4) which is to be fastened, and can be driven, by means of its free end (16), into the base (18) of the blind bore. The adjustment device (2) makes it possible to anchor the fastening device (6) in the ground without repeated measuring and correcting operations and, nevertheless, to arrange the pole-like or post-like object (4), to the greatest possible extent, in a precisely vertical manner after anchorage of the fastening device (6) has been completed. <IMAGE>
