PURPOSE:To use an inexpensive brush motor as the rotating and driving source of a polygon mirror, and to surely check whether or not the motor rises to a normal rotating condition in an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:The polygon mirror is rotated and driven by the brush motor, and a laser beam of each scanning is received by a sensor for generating a signal for detecting an image printing starting position(SOS). The number of revolution of the motor is correlated with the number of times of generating the SOS signal, and the motor is decided to reach the stationary rotating condition when the number of times N of generating the SOS signal reaches reference value Nref within a time t1 from starting the motor. |
