PURPOSE:To avoid trouble. f seeking by providing a data storage means storing data indicating on which data storage medium reception data are stored together with reception data file names when the reception data from a communication opposite party are stored. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment A24 and a terminal equipment B43 exchange medium information via an ISDN line. After the terminal equipment A24 sends information representing which medium of destination the medium information is to be sent and a file name of the information, a still picture is sent. Then the terminal equipment B43 stores information to which medium the received data to a management file together with its file name based on the medium information sent prior to the received data. When the terminal equipment B43 desires to check to which medium the data are stored, the terminal equipment B43 reads the management file in which file names are stored and displays them on an LCD screen to recognize to which medium the data are stored. |
