PURPOSE:To provide a simple system for accurately positioning a car in a certain limited range. CONSTITUTION:A fixed station 5 has an antenna 6 for receiving signals from GPS(global positioning system) satellites 1-4, a GPS receiver, and a beacon transmitter 7 for transmitting a beacon radio wave including kinematic GPS position measurement correction information and position information of the station 5 through the antenna 6. A mobile station 8a has a beacon receiver for receiving a beacon radio wave transmitted from the station 5, a GPS receiver, and positioning means for deciding the position of a car according to a kinematic GPS position measuring method by using the beacon radio wave and a GPS signal. Accordingly, an absolute position of the car can be accurately detected by using the method within a reception range of the correction information to be transmitted from the fixed station. |
