PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the cost of a starting device and a system by heating and combusting the material gas fed from a starting fuel line by means of a cathode exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The nitrogen gas of a cathode circulation line 21 is circulated by a high temperature blower 23, and hot air is sent from a hot air generation furnace for starting to a heat exchanger 24 for starting, and a circulation gas is heated to approximately 600 deg.C Part of the circulation gas is fed from a cathode exhaust gas line 14 to the combustion chamber Co of a reformer 1, and the town gas fed from the fuel line 53 for starting is heated and combusted. The temperature of the exhaust gas fed from the line 14 is no less than 400 deg.C, and the town gas can be heated and combusted thereby. Since the temperature of the combustion chamber Co becomes approximately 700 deg.C, a fuel gas 1 is guided from a fuel line 8 to the reforming chamber Re of the reformer 10, and is reformed into an anode gas 2 which can be fed to a fuel cell 20. |
