Fountain pen with a variable storage container for the ink is to be improved in that a filling, without the formation of bubbles, is maintained even on subsequent use, especially in the event of falling ambient pressure, so that pressure-induced escape of the store of ink is avoided. Such a fountain pen is characterised in that the ink store is received in a variable storage container (5) such that it adapts to the change in the volume of the ink store arising from use, so that a single operation is retained, without the formation of bubbles and/or without the build-up of an internal superatmospheric pressure in the storage container even on subsequent use, especially in the event of a fall in the ambient pressure. The storage container (5) is of bag-like design, and is connected in a liquid-tight manner at one end to the nib seating (2), and its content is connected for flow purposes to ink guide ducts (4).
