METHOD FOR LEARNING FORWARD SLIP IN CONTINUOUS ROLLING MILL AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To set a suitable forward slip in unstationary state at the time of passing the top end of a sheet. CONSTITUTION:A 1st mass flow unbalance amount between both mutually adjacent stands 1 is obtained from an outlet side sheet thicknesses of two stands 1 in continuous rolling mills and a preset predicting forward slip, and a 2nd mass flow unbalance amount between both stands 1 is obtained from a looper angle detected by a looper device device 6 installed between these stands and a preset predicting angle. A forward slip correcting value between both stands is obtained from the difference between the 1st mass flow unbalance amount and the 2nd mass flow unbalance amount, and the obtained forward slip correcting value is fetched in the predicting forward slip of the next rolling time.
