Adhesive for floor coverings, and method of loosening a floor covering

Computer floors in open-plan offices are divided into square panels on which a floor covering is glued. After some time in use, the floor covering requires changing. This is facilitated by an adhesive which can be softened in a microwave apparatus, this being possible by the fact that it is electrically conductive. To this end, the adhesive may contain an addition of metal or carbon. In order to change a section of floor covering, a panel complete with its floor covering is placed in a microwave apparatus. The adhesive is softened so that the section of floor covering can be pulled off from the panel. A new section of floor covering is then glued onto the same panel, which is replaced in its original position.
