Dual servo parking brake for motor vehicles

In a motor-vehicle drum brake used as a parking brake, two brake shoes (5, 6) are pressed against a brake drum by means of a mechanical expansion device (20). The circumferential forces which occur are transmitted to the stub axle (30) of the motor vehicle by way of a supporting bracket (19). The supporting bracket (19) consists of a simple, angled punched component which, according to the invention, has a hole (21) in which is secured a tubular element (22). The tubular element (22) is inserted into a hole (29) in the stub axle (30). A brake cable (32) intended for the actuation of the expansion device (20) is passed through the tubular element (22). A cable sleeve (34) surrounding the brake cable (32) is secured on the tubular element (22). The tubular element (22) is advantageously used, on the one hand, to secure the supporting bracket (19) on the stub axle (30) and, on the other hand, to secure the cable sleeve (34) and guide the brake cable (32). <IMAGE>
