<p>The invention relates to a device capable of being implanted inside a vessel in order therein to constitute a blood filter. The device comprises a structure (7) arranged along the axis (3) of a surface of revolution, radially to which axis the said structure can be expanded or compressed in order to be capable, in its expanded position, to come into internal contact with the said vessel. Means (15, 17) for "in situ" stressing of at least a part of this structure are furthermore provided, either for bringing it towards the axis of the surface of revolution to constitute a constriction region for the filtering of the blood or to move it away therefrom, thus altering this filtration capacity.
