In order to hold electronic components (5) on a carrier board (2), the housing (6) of the latter is provided with a smooth outer surface which is designed to be polygonal or oval, and a recess (11), which corresponds to the outer envelope surface (8), is incorporated in the carrier board (2). Furthermore, two or more cut outs (13) are formed in the side walls adjacent to the recess (11), by means of which cut outs (13) bearing lugs (14) are formed in order to support the component (5) by spring force after being rotated into the cut outs (13). This design results in the components (5) being locked in the carrier board (2) in a very simple manner, without any mechanical processing being required for this purpose. It is thus easy to accomplish the replacement of components (5). <IMAGE>
